Bill Clinton did the wrong thing. He had consensual sex with an intern, and then lied about it - he had to face impeachment proceedings as a result.

But seriously. Trump was not in office when he did something wrong? That excuses bad behaviour? So if he did collaborate with the Russians, it would be all ok because he was not in office?

I don't think so.... Clinton was a predator, how he did not get impeached is beyond me.
Bad behaviour is a tad different from this

Powerful person got off the hook.

I watched the interviews with 2 of his victims... I had no idea he was such a bad dude

Getting back to the main topic.

It's not just Manafort who had under the counter dealings with Russia, and who has been indicted. It's also Rick Gates, which was Manafort's deputy, and who continued to work under Conway when Manafort resigned. Gates has testified in return for a plea deal.

Gates and Manafort, as high up employees and close associates of Trump, were both inducted as a part of Mueller's investigation into Russian influence in the US election. They have far more to do with Trump than Strzok.

While it is very possible that Trump has not had any dealings with Russia, the actions of his high up employees and his admiration for Putin don't give a good look.

It will all come out. It may take a while, but so did Watergate. And I know that with Watergate, people thought they might just get away with it. Until they didn't. That's how I feel now some days.

There's so much smoke that eventually the fire will be found. I think Mueller is sitting on some interesting stuff and it will come out. Give it time.

I cannot believe that we all hear the same news, all know that (for example) Manafort owed $16m to an oligarch and had no cash, but offered to work for nothing for Trump's campaign, and the $16m debt suddenly seemed to disappear (for a while anyway). Then he "sold" a job to the CEO of the bank who looked away while the dodgy paperwork was passed (against the wishes and advice of others in the bank, who have testified about it).

Losses of nearly $12m on those loans so far, and counting. I wonder if he's made any repayments? And admissions about stolen election funds. This also was brought up by Maddow months ago, but it seems nobody was looking too closely at this. But it has now come out in court.

So much dirt, but most of it about Trump and his people. Must just be a coincidence?

One poll on West Orange County?

While it's possible that the GOP will do well, I'd say it's too early to call, and I'd also say a single poll in a single county is hardly representative of what's going to go on countrywide.

    I agree.

But it shouldn't have been on the cards at all in the first place. It was his idea to do it, and it was always a bad idea.

And now he has more to spend. "Now we can buy some more jet fighters!". Even though the parade only cost half of what a single jet fighter would cost.

A family wants a new car. They save a little.money, but then they decide they can't afford it, so decide to buy a new house with the money they've saved.

This first came up after he witnessed the French parade I believe. He stated something like "I want one of those", like a little child seeing a shiny toy and wanting one of his own.

At the time I heard figures of $20m. There was dismay that for someone who supposedly supports his service people, $20m could house a lot of homeless veterans. Now it seems it is closer to $100m.

It is truly disgusting to even consider spending that obscene amount (even $20m is obscene) when there are homeless veterans. I guess they might get a nice warm feeling, sitting on the footpath somewhere, knowing Trump is enjoying such a spectacle and spouting that he supports the military.

Thrilled to see the parade is cancelled - he's now trying to blame everyone else - and declares he'll attend the Paris one instead ... hope France doesn't invite him :D

After all the lies and coverups already made by Trump regarding this meeting - are we really expected to believe the "other subject" was not pursued .....ah ah ah ********

“The meeting was originally for the purpose of getting information about, about Clinton,” Giuliani said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “It turned out to be a meeting about another subject, and it was not pursued at all.”

This isn’t strictly on topic, but this is scary stuff. I know Mueller has to get his ducks in a row, but I really wish he’d hurry up...

Letter to the editor: It's time to drop all this Russia nonsense

    To the editor:
Does anyone else feel that this Russia thing has gone on far to long?

Let’s put a little history into the mix of Russia.

FDR caved into the demands of a true murderer and dictator from Russia, Stalin, giving up Poland and the rest of Eastern Europe to Russia.

Khrushchev visited the United States. Remember, he promised to “bury” the United States and denounced America at the United Nations. And he almost started World War III by putting missiles in Cuba.

Yet we always have had relationships with Russia.

Obama’s intelligence agency, run by Clapper, Brennen and Comey, saw no need to bring up what Russia was already doing to try to affect our presidential election. Remember Obama’s lecturing of Trump on Russia not being able to affect our elections, and that Trump should stop whining about it? Hillary’s red reset button and Obama whispering to a Russian about his flexibility towards Russia after he was elected to a second term?

No media outrage was ever heard from the fake news.

So what changed? Trump beat Hillary in the presidential election. Imagine if Hillary won. There would be no mention of Russia trying to meddle in out elections, right?

Now it’s 18 going on 19 months since President Trump won. Months and months of fake news and Democrats trying to take down President Trump over Russia. Remember, collusion was the thing that was to be investigated by Mueller. Collusion is not a crime. After all, Hillary colluded with a foreign national and Russia over the dossier. No one from Trump’s team or President Trump has been charged with collusion.

You can view the video of the numerous times President Trump has acknowledged Russia meddling and stating the truth that many other foreign countries have tried to meddle. Recently the FBI has stated that China is a much greater danger than Russia when it comes to technology attacks on the U.S. Also, please remember and report the numerous times the U.S. has meddled in foreign elections.

What Trump said was not treasonous, high crimes and misdemeanors or as bad as Pearl Harbor, the Holocaust or 9/11.

It’s time to give up the Russia nonsense and for the Democrats to actually try to help us Americans have a better and brighter future.
