Agreed. I see boomers eating in cafes and restaurants, with young people serving more often than not... it only seems to double down on the argument that boomers have had it too good.

Wouldn't you think it rather odd to see young people sitting in cafes and restaurants with boomers serving them?

Do you think boomers never worked in cafes and restaurants when they were young?

No - just that the quoted statistic most likely reflects the behaviour of boomers compared to the silent generation and not the behaviour of the young because I agree - older people typically sit in cafes and get served by the young. The only thing the statistic proves is that boomers do this more than the silent generation before them. It doesn't say anything about the behaviour of today's youth wrt eating out.

Ok, fair enough. The silent generation before the boomers didn't sit in cafes like we do today. Times were very different.

Gen Y & Z cant afford property so they open a trendy cafe and charge boomers $14 for toast and extra $$ for milk made from anything that isnt a cow, bread that has less carbs and man made bacon. Its wealth redistribution. Shame now they all jump on the same social bandwagon and want to ban everthing incl spoons, cutleys, straws, napkins, cups and even little packs of sugar. My local one doesnt do sweetener anymore since they told me its harms people more than sugar. ****ing idiots - Sugar kills diabetics !! ....Hate to see what this will be like in 10 years. Soon asking for white bread will be a crime.
