What Does An ATO Clearance Certificate Look Like?

I am buying a property and, being an elderly retiree, am keeping myself busy by doing the settlement myself.

My question is: "what does a ATO Clearance Certificate look like? "

The seller asked his accountant to send it to me. The paper sent to me by the accountant looks like it is a computer generated document without even an ATO letterhead at the top. It does not look right. I keep trying to call the accountant but cannot get through, the real estate agent has not been much help either.

Can anyone help? If they have provided me an incorrect document, I I don't want to be liable for not paying the seller's required tax.

Go to ATO web, it is a 4 page document, search this doc

Just completed this myself, we sold a property over 750k, I believe property $ value of over 750k need complete this??

ATO will send email within 2 days of completion advising/confirming whether you need to pay with holding tax etc? your verification
We got this to my surprise....efficient wow

Make sure get this in asap they close shop mid Dec till early Jan

Thanks MTR. Actually they (the sellers) are meant to give me the Clearance Certificate. But the only paper I have received so far from their accountant does not even have the ATO letterhead on it.

What does the actual Clearance Cert doc look like? All help appreciated. No sense in offending the ATO, hence my asking.
