How 21 floating feet could help solve Melissa Caddick case
    [IMG]

From what I've read, the DNA from the foot could belong to anyone in her family, it doesn't mean she had her foot surgically removed under anaesthetic and then planted within the shoe. She and her accomplices could also fake the find by using familial DNA on human tissue. Experts say the foot is in too good condition for 3+ months in the water. It's likely the shoe with her family DNA was kept on ice and then planted at a later date to be found.

Well if the additional stomach remains and other pieces are said to be hers than the answer is inevitable.

Maybe while she was busy shredding the evidence the shredder jammed so she had to stomp it with her sneaker, (she had done this before, so bit cocky), but the lace got caught, and before she knew it ....

Two sets of stomach remains have been confirmed as not belonging to Caddick.

Bodies are found washed up on beaches quite often.

Isn't her DNA unique to her? I get she would share DNA with family but her DNA would be unique. Not hard to get her DNA, it would be everywhere inside her home, not just on a toothbrush..

Seems to be a lot of them this week!

I've been wondering what the method of detachment of the foot was too, I haven't read any detail of this (and I'm not hunting for the original unblurred photo either *vomit*)

Would be one of the first things I would want to know if I was on the case. A severed foot would be easily recognizable over a rotted foot that has detached itself.

Yes but don't forgot that particular shoe was easily identifiable as it was on the investigation footage and there's lots of stories of feet in sneakers washing up on beaches. A finger washing up would be improbable.

If you were going to go to the effort of sacrificing your foot, then you'd do it in a way that looks like a natural breakage and then let some piranhas at it for a bit?

I think she’s dead - either by her own hands or murder. If she faked her own death she would have made sure the foot ended up somewhere that was guaranteed to be found.

I'm not doubting what you think but the foot could have been held in the water for this period then placed on the beach. Would take a complete weirdo to do it though!

It would be too suspicious if the foot was found in an obvious spot . Maybe she paid someone to 'find' her shoe with DNA and report it to police . The missing $19m in cash and her husband not reporting her for over 30 hours clearly points to a faked death in my opinion

A crime like this had many victims. Not sure about this specific case but often the investors who lose everything take their own lives.

The tragedy is there must be many, many people who have been brunt by the immaculate smokescreen this person was able to run the business model and noone ever bothered to check the trading numbers--WAFJ..

Maybe the companies motto was ''Never -Complain -Never Explain and never resign ''..
