It was a choice between cold sausage or cold home made pizza. The pizza lost but will be devoured tonight.

Don't own a bike for reasons about which I will not go into but it involves the issue of an aversion to Lycra.

Done the Bridge to Bridge many times but the best is the entire lake. It's around 29 km and, at the end if you make it, you're so knackered and sore there are no other worldly troubles to worry you.

Dear me. For rehydration, to dramatically aid recovery and to promote even deeper inner calm the session at Filthy McFaddens immediately after the bike ride is mandatory. Don’t know if it’s still there but there was a pizza place just next to the entrance to Filthy McFaddens. We’d order the pizza and they’d bring it to our table inside the bar.

OMG. I just did a search on Filthy’s and see it’s closed:eek::(. Beyond stressed now, I’m depressed:(:(:(. Wait .... I’ve just found out the Durham Arms English pub is still open in Kingston. Was never as good as Filthys (the furniture wasn’t falling apart) but it’d do. So complete crisis averted.

Woohoo, another case of craft beer has just been delivered. Wife collecting it as I type:). I can feel my mood improving already. So many emotions in such a short time. Sometimes I amaze myself.

Good Lord, you must wring your liver out and hang it on the bedhead to allow it to dry overnight!

Yes, often you are concentrating so much keeping your arms in their sockets!, then when you're home, realigning your body.

But agree, great to take your mind off other things.

I blame my current state of mind on the TV programs I grew up watching as a kid such as the Flower Pot Men:
