Our guide in Marrakech was explaining to the kids as to why very few people including the king no longer practice polygamy despite it being legal and it had a lot to do with the mother in law situation.

Good mate Of mine bought a datto 1600 from the original owner 8 years ago for $6500. Turned down an offer last year of $25k. Not too bad I reckon

It appears children today. A wet and windy Sydney has ensured that a tribe of my kids friends have come over.

Did he take possession while you were aboard?

Aboard or in use mostly. A couple were from breaking moorings, or the like.
One time, we were out at Dirk Hartog (a resonably remote island of Denham), when we were camped on the beach. The anchor gave way overnight. Although we werent on board, we were fairly well up S creek. Lets just say it was a long wait for our rescuers. That was probably the 'worst' of them.

Most other times have been fairly harmless.

So you can add stranded on a desert island to your list? :)
Was it friends you called in, or just random passer bys?

    ugh... long story.

We were rescued after 3nights. It was a random passer by. The guy who came to get us was actually a charter operator - he wasnt happy about taking our dog on board, but he wasnt willing to leave without us - and we werent leaving without the dog. We had sufficent supplies to last till he got back to the mainland, raised the alarm and sent a more willing rescue party. Alas - he gave in and took the dog (and us).

We then had to negotiate accomodation and meals on the mainland while we could organise a recovery of the boat. Not easy when you have been shipwrecked for a few days (and look like it) and have no wallet/cards (Poisedon had them). After recovering the boat we had to drive back to Perth. My skills in hotwiring cars came in handy (Poisendon had the keys as well). That was more of a challenge, but we pulled some strings and got enough cash to survive.

I could have a dozen beers telling you about the story, and still not cover it all.
