    I work for a large ISP. There are main offices in Brisbane (actually 3 of them) and around 400 IT/Engineering staff.

    All different levels.

    Junior engineers pay range - $60-80k+
    Engineer = $90-$110k+
    Senior Engineer = $110-$130k+
    Architect/Senior Designer = $130-$170k+
    Senior Architect = $150 - $200k+

    All salaries are plus Bonus depending on performance rating. Up to 30% bonus. All salaries above would be base pay NOT including super.

    Financial success / Financial independence doesn't correlate to how much income you earn, but how much income [generating assets] you own.

    I know its USA focused.....but thought this might interest you.

    Here's how much you have to earn to be in the top 1% in every US state

    Looks like I was way under with the average person in the top 1% here in NY is $US2m or approximately $A2.6m per year in income.

    2m/year. At least that's what it would take to raise my eyebrows.

    Oh, so you had an entree of Myer's IPO at $2.10, a main of Blackmores and Bellamy's, with a side of Channel 10?

    I understand Officeworks has a range of cheap shredders, if you need something a bit more efficient...

    Last take home salary in 2009 between hubby and I was AUD $750,000. I didn't think it was a particularly high income and didn't even feel rich for that matter. We used to save almost 90% of our income. Retired the same year and hubby followed 2 years later.

    I earn a fraction of that now. I feel richer though. Hard to explain:cool:
