That would only be in the house, where the Dems did pick up a number of seats. Senate voting is statewide.

Senate voting is by state, House voting is by electorate within a state, and there are no preferences. So House voting is more open to electoral rigging, as discussed in another thread. Some states however have voted to improve their voting systems.

Perhaps you need to check your sources. It has been independently proven that the video shown by Fox was tampered with in a blatant and false attempt to "show" abuse (that did not occur)

Sarah Sanders accused of sharing 'fake' video to justify banning CNN reporter

And what are your thoughts on the childish and bullying actions of Trump when asked a legit and civilised question? And a group of people - who were 900km away at the time - is hardly an "invasion".

Has Trump mentioned them since the mid-terms? Nope. Why? Because he no longer needs to politicise with fear and threat

To ask any question in a media conference - for clarity one makes a statement to clarify what the question is being asked about - and then asks the questions. And why is that any different from normal ... ?

Um - sped up and several frames repeated to give a false impression - so therefore the video was changed, which is the definition of "doctored"

What are your thoughts on the childish and petty way Trump behaved by demeaning, belittling, interrupting, over talking ... and every other primary schoolyard bully action?

Speeding it up made it seem that he was much more aggressive towards the intern than he actually was.

He was a reporter trying to do his job, which is to get an answer. Many presidents before have faced reporters with tough questions, many going much further than Acosta. To my knowledge, none have ever been banned because the president of the time didn't like their news outlet, the reporter or their questions.

    Did you watch my video?

    trump answered 68 questions from 38 reporter's

Acosta starts his *questions , saying ' I'm going to challenge you "

he's just an entitled jurno who thinks he is running the show , trying to put his CNN fake news agenda above others .He wanted to debate the president not ask questions.
    and he got punished appropriately

of cause the left has micro- analysed it , kicked it out of shape and put it through the mincer

Yes - and so? He asked the questions that the majority of people want answered.

As for the video - there are several sources showing several angles of the true footage and they ain't the one Fox showed.

Which isn't an unfair way to ask a question- put the person on alert it's going to be a harder-than-normal question. After which Trump interrupts at least seven times before the question was answered... even at the seventh interruption, the question wasn't finished, Trump just gave a longer answer as an interruption.

This incident with Acosta isn't about whether he was impolite (the White House has backed away from claims that Acosta behaved inappropriately with the intern) - it's about Trump trying to have some control over the press.

Fox News is with CNN in this matter.
Fox News stands with CNN: ‘Passes for working White House journalists should never be weaponized’

You really believe the spin from Trump that CNN is "fake" ?

Incredible that trump is able to delude so many people. This is one of his few successes.

If someone in the White House had googled the new bloke, they would have seen how problematic his appointment is, without even touching on whether he can actually act as AG. HIs past is interesting...

This is interesting. It talks about how Trump zooms in and out to switch the focus on small issues and the bigger overall issue. He does it well and the news organisations should call him on it.

And also, did Trump meet Whitaker twelve times (as he said to Fox) or has he not met him at all as he now claims? (I know him well... I've never met him... which is it?)

Meuller doesn't need to be senate confirmed, Whitaker does. I heard that had Sessions been fired Whitaker couldn't have been appointed as fill in. It is only because Sessions "resigned" that this has been allowed. And Trump has said himself (on Fox) that he hired Whitaker due to the Meuller investigation. Oops!

    Episode 2:
Aired on October 4. Acosta was banned from the White House on November 7. Hmm. Perhaps somebody got the idea from the show?

In the show she tries to sneak into the WH using a disguise. At least Acosta didn't do that.

Elizabeth Warren was a professor of law, most recently at Harvard, so she has to be a smart cookie. However, as an advocate for stronger banking regulations, she's probably made some powerful enemies. She may well be perceived as too radical for many.

She appears to have given as much as she's taken in the nasty jibes department.

I don't rate her chances very high to be a successful candidate at this stage.
