    Hi Everyone,

I need to replace this soap holder. It’s attached to the tiled wall in my shower. I’d prefer to replace this without having to also remove and replace the wall mount on the tiles.

I think this holder is circa 1998 or before. That's when the bathroom renovation was done.

Does any one know what brand this is?
Or where to get one? Bunnings only has newer models.

    Thanks

Could you sand it and spray it?

Can't you just find a new one with a sufficiently large base plate to cover the location of the old one? If you are worried about drilling holes in the bathroom tiles then drill holes in the base plate of the new holder so that they line up with the holes in the wall.

I think I have the same problem in a 1999 property I have. The soap holder came off and the ugly base plate is still on the wall.
If nothing is broken, I'd clean the soap holder, spray paint it so it looks new, then screw the soap holder back on (a little screw at the bottom of the soap holder is used to attach it).

You could get it powder coated the same colour and it will last another 20 years or can buy new soap dishes of similar appearance.

Crikeys, that's had a tough life. How hard is the water out there?

@datto LOL. It's Sydney. It's hard water here.

    Wow. Lots of ideas. Thanks.

I like the spray paint idea. That's something my teenage daughter might enjoy. I wonder how much gear I need to do it properly besides just the paint and sandpaper.

Then again, getting it powder coated is also good as it's "outsourced". It wouldn't be cheap I imagine.

If I find one with the same size base plate, that's simple.

A business that advertises bath resurfacing would probably do it ... :D
