Just finished reading Long Lost by David Morrell . The story moves very fast and I was glued to it the whole time. I read it in a couple days!

They get the same toward the end... oh no, that doesn't sound good. How similar?

Besides PC and API I've been wading through Robert Jordan's Wheel Of Time series.

    Not same same. but similar.

He is on the road from nowhere to nowhere. He finds himself in the middle of some big scandal. He befriends someone (usually hot, young, female), he kills some poeple (moraly/ethically). He gets the bad guy and hits the road again. All is well that ends well.

Still good storylines and well written. but somewhat predictable.

Yeah it's very 007 where you know it's going to end the way it started.

Count yourself lucky the series is over, I started that with the first book in 1990, had the author bloody die, and finally saw it finished in 2013.

Does Lee Child even write his books anymore or are they farmed out like the other big authors?

Yes it's a long journey. I started it late 90's with vigour then I put it down in 2006 to read a lot of something else and wait for more. Just started up again with Winters Heart.

Indeed, ok cool, Winters Heart I think is one of the weaker books, when Sanderson takes over things get moving again. Jordan really dragged things out a bit too much in his last few books.

I got to crossroads of twilight and stopped reading because they were so drawn out. Is it worth finishing the series?

It is, once Sanderson takes over, things really get moving and while you can notice tonal changes being a different author, it's good.
