Staying in bed as long as I want.

Being able to sit in the sun when the weather is beautiful.

Being able to stay inside when the weather is awful.

Having time to cook meals that take several hours for dinner.

Not having to get out of the surf to go and clean a clients carpet.
Eat when I'm actually hungry, not on the hop between jobs.
Continue watching a series on Netflix if I so desire, without having to consider work obligations the following morning.

Choosing not to drive in peak hour traffic. It has to be a very important meeting to make me do it, otherwise I will only go near CBD after 10am.

Why not sell up upon retirement and settle somewhere less hectic?

Even if you live somewhere less hectic if you retire (or have financial freedom) then you may still need to access the CBD for appointments etc.
I used to spend a couple of hours a days in peak hour traffic on a journey that should take 15mins each way outside of traffic times. So now if I have to go into the city I do it around my wants :)

Being able to do things at a time that most people can't .... eg. I went to the cinema this week & only 6 other people were there. That's normal for a 2pm midweek session.

It is really good to do things whilst most others are working, doing the school run etc...
Having the time to choose when to do something is actually something to look forward to....

I work full time and never drive peak hour :)

What I would look forward to is being able to travel for as long as I want whenever I wanted to.
Right now because of my current work I feel like it's not easy to take the time for a good holiday. I'm being a responsible employee for right now... not to worry because my company is looking to hire and when someone who joins comes (completely settles in) then I'll be freer.

I’ve had a bit of a sore/twisted ankle. I would love to be able to chose when I have to wear shoes or not!
