Sorry I thought you meant you were interested in getting shares. There had been concerns that the rising pay rates and increases in food pricing may affect the profitability etc.

Ha. I used to do that! Can't remember the payout? 10c or 20c/ball maybe. Plus all you gear and air.

I remember always trying to crack the 1,000 ball/tank target (but that was a cross a number of water traps) Some of the water holes were easier than others.

We always got strange looks trudging across the golf coarse in full dive gear, often in the pouring rain, often miles from the nearest ocean. Was good fun though.

Off on a tangent - the most lucrative franchises:

    • FIFA
    • NRL
    • AFL
    • Olympics

Maybe our eastern states cousins are a future prediction for Perth?

Hopefully same applies to the property market.

    WA = wait awhile :p

Indeed. The last time I bought a "meal" at Red Rooster I actually got confused when I saw the food and returned to the counter to let them know it seemed an error had been made and I'd been given a children's meal. Those chicken strips were really small. Nope they said, no mistake, that was an adult's meal. I ate my meal and was still starving afterwards. KFC is following suit, their crispy strips are now so small they are almost the size of a chicken nugget.

Guess it depends on what you buy.
I went through recently to get something to fill me in after a long workout and before a massage.
Got a roast chicken roll with gravy and it was the biggest roll I've ever had, heaps of chicken on about a 12" roll.
Was very impressed and have been back to get the same thin a couple more times.
Cost $8 for the roll, but well worth it.

Back in 2011 they had a big increase to the drivers' wages. They used to pay them peanuts but increased it to something more reasonable : $22/hr as they were desperate for drivers. They might be looking to be more attractive to potential employees plus poach from the rivals

Sucks that the franchisor can just shaft the franchisees like that.
But still, what was the guy thinking when he took out a 400k loan for a pizza shop in a country town?:eek::eek:
If the loan was 400, what was the total buy in price?
And you have to pay commissions and fees from you profits too...

The entry fees are just way too high on these type of franchise.
Don't seem to be a shortage of future victims who fall for the marketing though.
