That's what Geelong supporters said in 2008! I think Fremantle, Sydney, West Coast and Hawthorn are In the mix. Every other team are just making up the numbers.

They won last year by turning it into a boxing match . Caught the swannies by surprise and on the chin .

Rematch this year , swannies were prepared and it turned into one of the best games I've seen for a while with the swannies just sneaking home . Could have gone either way .

Swannies , Hawks , west coast , freo are all in there , though I think freo are a class above the Hawks and west coast .

I think it will be a swans vs freo GF and expect a very close match . Freo do have the best player in the comp at the moment , but the swans are just so consistent .
Midfield . Parker , Hannerbery , Kieran Jack , Mc Veigh and Josh Kennedy are five of the best midfielder players in the comp,

Then you have Tom Mitchell , Ben Mcglynn , Craig Bird ( a walk up in most teams is running around in the reserves ) fighting for places .

Then we have the twin towers and currently Adam Goodes is playing the best football he's played for 3-4 years . I personally feel he has decided to retire at the end of this year and having been dropped to the reserves has decided to give utterly everything to his last season to win another premiership .

It's looking like an intersting season .

My opinion is Sydney went into the GF with too much self belief. I didn't feel Hawthorn played any rougher than they normally do. Players such as McVeigh, Jetta, Goodes, and a handful of others went missing or didn't turn it up when they were under the pump. Buddy was clearly the best player for the Swans but supply was limited.

My GF tip this year is Fremantle vs Sydney. Hawthorn is the wild card but they don't look hungry enough. Can't blame them after going back to back.

See change, as a Sydney supporter what do you think of the constant booing for Adam Goodes? I think he brings it on himself. Should just concentrate on the footy.

Should be a good game tonight. Will see where WCE are at, playing MCG against Richmond.
Hawks were most impressive last night, just so clean. When some of their players don't play well, others seem to step up, I don't know if the same can be said about Sydney. Fremantle seem pretty hungry this year, its hard to leave them out of the quinella. I think Hawthorn/Fremantle.

If Hawthorn doesn't make it this year I'm going for Fremantle. Ross is boss and deserves a flag.

I agree that Sydney went in believing their own hype , much the same as Hawthorne did in 2012 .

Reminded me of the swans / west coast in 05/06

I don't see the logic behind the booing and I think it's disgraceful . He's a high profile player who has a high profile off the field due to non footy activities . There have been plenty of similar players in the past who haven't been booed in such a way and the only interpretation I can put on it is that is racist .

I have seen players booed in the past . One player who stood out to me was Jason Akermanis who was almost always booed by swans supporters , but that was related to the tough battles he had with jarred crouch and if any thing was a mark of respect by the swans fans in that they recognised what a tough player he was , and was no way related to off side activities and was a swans thing .

Hodgey was never going to play the next two games. Who in their right mind would risk star players to play Brisbane and Carlton. He will be fresh for the finals.

As for the cheat wingard he can watch a champion team play in the finals:D

    HAHAHA!!!

I've heard some ridiculous one-eyed supporter dribbles over the last 45 years, but this is one of the best ones yet.

    Yeah....

Clarko; "Hey; Hodgey; listen mate, we need to rest ya for the next coupla games, so go out and clean up someone and get a holiday, will ya? Fanks, maaate".

Hodgey; "Who do ya want me to take out, Boss?"

Clarko; "Anyone mate; doesn't matter; just make it count, OK?"

    Puleeese.

Here's an idea; how about they just.....rest him?

@Bayview you're a funny bugger! You should consider packing up the workshop and starting a career in journalism. The way you have taken my post out of context shows you got form!

To clarify i never said the bloke did what he did so he doesn't play next week. He could have bagged 10 sausages and I can guarantee you he still would have missed this week.

Mitchell had a solid game last week. Is he playing this week? No.

Player management they call it these days.

And for the record wingard should win an Oscar for his performance. My 2 year old wouldn't even have gone down.

The Crows are coming home thick and fast. After the Walshy tragedy it seems that the Crows have a lot of self belief and has been kicking ass recently, especially the 1st quarter against West Coast.

If the Crows maintain their momentum they will become a big threat to everyone. I think they are peaking at the right time.

West coast was just relaxing since 2nd is already guaranteed.

Seriously though, this is the first year all 8 teams are a real chance. Usually it is a 1-2 horse race. Could be Adelaide / bulldogs yet for all we know.

West coast will get up though :)

I just hope Richmond wins a final let alone make the gf for the sake of embarrassment!
