With Westpac dropping their fixed rates today the 2 year owner occupied fixed rate is now 0.90% lower than what the bank has offered me for variable rates (refer my previous posts).

I will look at fixing as much as I can, but the downside is that I will be making some additional repayments over the next few years which will limit what I can fix.

However I note that Westpac allow additional repayments of $30k over the fixed rate period.

Do you know if I can have multiple fixed rate splits to help maximise the amount of additional repayments I can make? E.g. Can I split the loan between a 3yr and 2yr fixed rate loan to get 2 x $30k ($60k) additional repayments.

To take that further, would it be possible to have more than one of each 2 year and 3 year splits? (e.g. 2 x 2 year and 2 x 3 year splits to allow $120k additional repayments).

    Ben
