Just heard from my surveyor that as of 7th July, the Western Power overhead to underground subsidy is no longer.

This will mean an increase of "thousands" on what currently costs about $1300.

Does this mean all domes cost about 6500?

Not sure @Big Daddy, all I got told was it was increasing by "thousands". I can't see any details on the Western Power website.

Mine is a duplex development so its $681 per dwelling currently....in a few weeks...who knows!

Was notified of this by my surveyor today as well. They are stopping the subsidy for 1 & 2 lot developments. To get a new dome installed it will cost $3,400 if the power lines are on your side of the street & $4,900 if on the opposite side.
I rang WP who confirmed but won't be updating their website until 7th July. Get your applications in before this date!

So then if the dome is servicing two dwellings...will it be 3400 plus an extra 681 for the second dwelling?

Either way...stuff you western power! :p
