Yes, we are sure. The flu vax is not a very low dose of the flu and no, you can't get the flu from the vax, ever!

The egg allergy is an issue - but only if you are actually allergic to eggs!

Warmed coca cola and ginger (yum), rum, honey etc ... the high sugar content calms you down, keeps you immobile and basking in bliss so that you give your body the rest it needs to recover. Once you're down for the count, enjoy it. I find the occasional dose of sugar is good for you when you're going down anyway. 1/2 a mug of rum and the next day is a doona day, isn't it?
On the other hand, cut out the sugar and you'll never get the flu or a cold again. I kinda miss it.

It's a crazy world we live! Potions for this, injections for that! We're a crazy juiced up species!
We're like the "photocopy of a photocopy" and we're tweaking the bejesus out of the contrast and brightness etc to keep us going

All of those drums, bear skin rugs, chants are doing wonders. Where have the virgins gone?

Note to self - need more bare skin rugs ;)

Had my flu shot this week so took the chance to ask the immunisation nurse if people with egg allergies can have a flu shot.

The nurse said yes, people with an egg allergy can definitely have a flu shot, but would need to have at it at a medical centre in case of a serious reaction.

PS: you can't get the flu from the flu shot, ever!

I had the quad flu shot this year. The script was $20 from the pharmacy. Some of the cheap chemists are advertising flu shots for $9.95 but not sure whether that may be the triple not the quad shot.

We had the quad shot at our local chemist for $20. But it cost us more than that because we were asked to stay for 20 minutes to ensure we didn't have a bad reaction and hubby found some things in the gift shop we "needed".

I've never had a flu shot before but we will be traveling and don't want to risk getting sick overseas. Also breathing in lots of germs in planes and airports isn't the best way to avoid germs. I do feel like an oldie now because I always thought the oldies got the flu shots (other than those in jobs that require protection).

9.95 for the triple and 12.99 for the quadruple at Chemist Warehouse! Definitely worth the extra three bucks for the four strain vax.

Just don't hang out with other humans nor touch surfaces they have touched. Simples.

There is a better one out there called Hairy Lemon. Twin pack (40 tabs) costs about $15 at most chemists. Like Berocca but contains Vitamin B, C, ginseng and guarana amongst others. I have lessened several workmates energy drink addiction with these. And at around 40c a cup versus $4 a can saves them from the sugar. Also helps with their first Deposit coincidentally. :D
