    Hi all,

One of my QLD IP is experiencing leaking from shower onto the floorboards underneath. PM has engaged a plumber and after second visit he provided his thoughts below:
"Visited twice. Have only charged for one visit to seal everything in the shower. I have pressure tested the pipes and sealed everything. My guess is that the tiler has buggered up the puddle flange or drain waste under the floor. The shower is only 12 months old and looks brand new but theres a leak under the floor still. The owner should be calling back the tiler. Theres now nothing more a plumber can do. We had to do the plumbing tests first to narrow down the problem though"

Problem is the previous owner did the bathroom reno. Even though I have the Waterproofing certificate it is dated 24th Feb 2014. Given it's about 2.5 years now, would the waterproofing certificate still deem as valid for me to go back to the original builder to get this mess tidied up?

    Cheers,
    David

Didn't say what material is used...so not sure how I can work out the warranty? All I had from previous owner is the Waterproofing certificate which doesn't contain alot of info.

The builder provides building warranty that includes waterproofing.

If you have a form 16 for the waterproofing, I'd ring/email the builder and waterproofer saying its been flood tested by your plumber and failed and to orginise to come out and sort it out.

Thank you @Chillingout I will reach out to the builder to follow up - given I have form 16 hopefully it won't be too difficult to get them back out to fix it!
