Hi I have recently purchased a property and experiencing issues with water leakage in the ensuite shower - the builder didn't properly waterproof and water is now running into the shower niche. I have asked Eden Brae to rectify this issue and they have only suggested to replace the shower screen and raise the angle to prevent water from flowing in. I was wondering if I should go further and ask them to re-tile the bathroom in case there's mould growth behind the walls? I also had to call in a plumber to initially investigate this and they're refusing to reimburse me for this cost. Is this something I should be able to claim back? Thanks in advance for any advice!
How do you know the builder didn't properly waterproof? Is there a certificate showing it was completed to code? If you have something that proves this isn't done properly, surely the builder would be forced to rectify it properly, and not do a bandaid fix?
