I received a Water bill today for my IP up on the NSW Central Coast.
Now when i had my other IP down in Wagga i remember the tenant used to pay it.
The water bill is addressed to me at my Sydney address and in my name...shouldnt this be in the tenants name and addressed to them ???

Your name. Your PM pays it from and on charges water usage to tenant if the property is water saving compliant. The tenants then pay water to PM who disburses back to you.

In NSW you have the water in your name. Provided your property meets water saving guidelines, is individually metered, and you have specified in the lease you can send the tenant a copy of the bill once you have paid it and seek reimbursement for the usage portion only

Why is this not detailed in your management agency agreement.

    Allot simpler in WA.
Accounts in my name, usage only gets invoiced direct from supplier to tennant in their name (I only pay S&E)
If they don't pay by due date supplier sends me an email advising.
In the end if for whatever reason they don't pay I'm responsible for it.
