Coming out West, you have to blend in a bit. Leave your Merc and LV handbag at home.
Public toilets are a no no.. unless there is plenty of people around. You have heard what happened in the toilets in greenacre in 2000. I was a westie and I’d rather pee my pants than to use a public toilet in a park.

On the other hand… we sometimes get the filthy/what are you doing here look by the eastern suburbs folks.
    It goes both ways!

In all seriousness, I am glad you and your family are safe.

You sure your not confusing Sydney with Detroit..? :p

I think for the most part, this was just some unfortunate timing. Sydney is pretty safe relatively speaking. No doubt there are some low life scum still around but I think the police have tightened that up quite a bit over the last 5 -10 years.

Well done, it is good you are able to tell the story, 3 vs 1 is not easy. I have done MA for a long time and yes, the mental training is what comes first, I am 100% sure you judged well the situation. The major risk is losing life or getting a major injury.

Wow.. sounds like a movie scene!
Glad you and family are safe.

About 8 years ago, I was loading my two children (both under five) into my car. It was a dark and isolated place. I was a soft target.
Two large guys approached. You can tell as soon as they make the eye contact. They asked for $20 and said otherwise they were going to beat me up. They did say politely though :)
I threw the $20 in the air. While they were chasing the money, I quickly ran into the car and drove off.

The crazy sport of UFC has shown that the striking and grappling arts such as karate, Jiu Jitsu and boxing are more effective than the more technical and esoteric arts such as kung fu. If you're after basic self defence skills go straight to UFC or kickboxing.

    Great job @Sackie!

Yeah I still think Sackie should have rung 000.

Police despatch : "All units to Narellan Park, we have a code 2, a well healed Eastern suburbite victim. Oh, on your way back bring us back some Krispy Kremes will ya, I'm absolutely famished. 10-4"

Polair 1: "Yeah Roger that. Do you want an Original Double Glazed or an Assorted Pack? Over."

    Thanks.

Yeah it sucks when it happens. Not a great feeling is it... you worry more for those with you most of the time.

    LMAO! :D:p:D:D:D

I think...you would have to be pretty brave crim to confront people at midday in broad daylight..... I have had people ask for money...a polite sorry mate always works. Maybe ...it is how you conduct yourself or you look like a pounce.....

I have had someone try a veiled threat...and I calmly responded...when you have had...an RPG fired at ya you see life a different way......... and you could slowly see the oh ****** moment....it gets pretty funny. :p:D

Must be the shaved head but I get called sir a lot these days.......:p...even when dressed down.....

In all seriousness the noddys seem to be in the Eastern and lower Northshore in Sydney than out west....it is entitled wannabe rich people or do you know who I am crowd which do my head in.

Forget Cleveland...it pales compared to Southside of Chicago.... St Louis.... New Orleans...or Washington DC....even Baltimore. There you have to pack heat!

I live in the USA....in Oregon...and Alabama. I reckon Alabama is safer.... that was in 80s...I remember guys having handguns tucked in the back of their jeans. You never see this if ever in Australia...

Maybe if you sport a mullet, wear a flanno, beanie and ugg boots your chances of getting mugged are zip. The fear of BO will automatically repel any muggers. Although they may search the carpark for your commodore and take it on a joy ride.
