Hey all, I am just wondering what everyone's thoughts are re Wallan? I am considering buying a property there. Definitely for PPOR at first and until all the grants are satisfied but turning it into an investment later on. Any advice is welcome. Thank you, Nik
Out in the sticks for me. Big blocks from what I remember. I used to do deliveries in and around the area over a decade ago. The views were great. I bet the area's changed now. If you're going to turn it into an IP, not sure if it's an area that's popular with tenants? There are only 17 homes up for rent on rea.com.au, not 100% sure of the small number. Not sure about schools, if that's a consideration at all. They have the Vline, but it must take an hour (?) to get to Spencer St?
Cant speak for Wallan but Kilmore and Broadford up the road have been attracting a few tree changers in my circle looking for larger properties. One couple I know sold their two bedder in St Kilda to buy a farm up there. One of the many reasons and the one I found most interesting being to speculate on future fast rail line.
