Anyone if we could get a wall socket with the international plug shown in the attached image?
If it's not international plug, what's it called? TIA

I doubt you could as Australia has 240v and most other countries have 110v or +/-

Whats the reason for wanting it, so you can plug other things in? Probably using adapters is the better idea?

You can probably get them off eBay.
    Google <international wall socket>

We bought devices from overseas, hoping we can just plug them in without an adapter. Most of the international adapters are huge/clunky and not ideal for some of the narrow spots we had without them sticking out or worse stuck between the wall and difficult to plug/unplug.

What we did when in europe recently was use the adapter on the 4 plug multiboard, then plug our devices onto that.

Alternatively, leave the wall socket alone and cut the plug off the appliance power cord and get a sparky mate to put an aussie plug on to replace the overseas one.

I think this might be the answer. When i googled around for international wall socket, it seems to me only available from overseas vendor like alibaba, ebay etc. Hence i wasn't convinced they are tested etc

Different volts and amps in different countries - would that be an issue?

    Thanks again mate.
If the voltage is different to the AU plug, can I still hire the electrician modify the plug?

    Hold on...

230v to 240v is what my kettle has on it. As long as it's not 110v but around 240v

Most Laptop and mobile PSUs, shavers etc will take 100-240V

Wrong frequency could be a killer though. Make sure it can handle both 50 and 60Hz
