We had a bit of a looksie on the 1st night. Wouldn't recommend going on the 1st night, but if you're on your way somewhere in the City...

Have fun, but I would recommend going somewhere, rather than to Vivid. It's everywhere, and you can see it on the way to dinner or drinks or whatever.

Boy, would've been a bit of a wash out on the weekend.
Good weather for sitting inside on the internet.

No - but we bought one!
Wasn't too bad on Sat night, but Sunday all day was a washout.

Lights on the opera house were good, fireworks, went to the contemporary art gallery. Atmosphere around the rocks was nice, but a little subdued. Quite a few of the light displays weren't going. Assume it was due to the rain and electrical risks.

For your next visit, the Munich Brauhaus (was Lowenbrau) is pretty good if you like food and beer.
Pancakes on the rocks is Ok too.

Think I walked past the Brauhaus, but not a good look when its just me and my 11yo daughter. And I don't drink. lol
But we tried to get into the Pancake place, but the line was too long out the door and down the stairs so had gelati instead.

Well there you go, pretty obvious suggestions then.
The Brauhaus isn't too bad downstairs. Up the back in the older area is really cool.
And yep, I guess they both get pretty busy on the weekends.

Disappointed with the Vivid light show at Chatswood. Interesting animation at the arts centre and library but nothing special at the concourse next to the station.

The street food vendors were good.

    This is cool.

Hope Din Thai Fung was open for dinner, just to top it off...

Which one did you go for?
The prawn and chorizo place is good. And the newer souvlaki place looks good too.

Tried the Thai fish cakes - upset that I had eaten beforehand, they were sooo good.

I haven't tried that one before, maybe there was more for Vivid.
The paella was fairly ordinary, you didn't miss out there.

I'm pretty sure that the Spanish guys are there every Thursday / Friday. You've saved me trying it out - I'll stick with encasa

    It's Ok, pretty bland though.
If that's what paella is supposed to be like, I'm not a fan of paella ;)
