I still have not yet voted in tomorrow's state election.
I still don't know which party I want to vote for.
    I'm very torn.
At a federal level, I feel that Liberal have more in it for our situation (not wanting to abolish neg gearing etc), however at a state level they seem to be offering nothing for us. All I care about is a state government who will be harsh on crime and sentencing, spending on healthcare to benefit everyone, spending on roads that need it, sweetners for investors and small business, and a good public transport system (not that I use it but I would be happy if we had a good transport system so that I wouldnt be sitting in so much traffic all the time).
It seems that nearly everything other than transport promises are aimed at those on the lowest incomes, and nothing for those who work hard to support themselves.
I would love to know who you are voting for this weekend and why as I really need some more info before I can make a decision. I would vote for one of the smaller parties however I feel like my vote would be wasted as they have no chance of getting in.

No vote is ever wasted - only have to look at the US elections where, in certain seats, millions voted and the decision came down to a few hundred.

NSW is just as bad (if not worse) - and after decades of being a "rusted on Liberal" I'm at a loss at which way to vote either locally or federally. I would look at the independents/greens - see where their preferences are going - and vote with your democratic sausage in hand

I am seriously considering the Greens, however I think if I was to vote Greens it would end up costing us in more.

I don’t like big government, and as such I am diametrically opposed with what the modern Labor Party has become.

I think I literally shed a couple of tears. My seat is looking at a 12.5% Labor margin - in Country Vic!

That’s possibly the risk of running a fear campaign.

Do some research on the voting system. You list the ones you like. If number one doesn’t have lots of votes, number 2 gets your full vote. It’s not wasted and if you do the listing, numbers in the boxes, it doesn’t matter how political parties ‘preference’. It’s not wasted. Vote green 1 and liberal 2, if the greens don’t get up your 2 vote counts just as much as if you had numbered them 1.

Looks like Victorians managed to avoid the roaming African gangs and make it to the polling booth today.

And most of them then proceeded to tell Matthew Guy, Petter Dutton + co to kindly go **** themselves :)

I reckon we should all go out to a nice lobster restaurant a bit later to celebrate, if we're not too scared to leave our homes of course.

Perhaps. A State Labor govco is one thing, but if Bill Shorten gets in the tears running from my eyes could fill an Olympic pool. I’m really hoping their socialist class warfare platform doesn’t gel with the electorate at large.

ALP lower, Greens upper (the put in prefs for alp, socialist alliance, AJL, Reason/sex party ...not in that order though).

Victoria is the place to be afaic; jobs, vision etc. Plus the people are just nicer (metro Brisbane people are too (west end etc))
