Victorian buyers agent jailed for fraud

Property expert Cameron Deal, 46, has been sentenced to six months prison after pleading guilty to scamming the Geelong footballer Stewart Crameri in a hoax real estate venture.

What happened to that agency whole stole clients trust money last year? They had a few branches in melbourne, didnt they just re-open under the husbands license and the wife bolted back to china or something?

 

Yes, was 6 LJ Hookers across Melbourne suburbs, and then redid license under spouse's name to open up under a new banner.

 

We almost used his agency to buy in Melbourne in 2013, we didn't meet him but dealt with Jake instead, who was very prolific on Somersoft at the time.

 

Having worked with Cameron I was shocked to learn he was heading down this path in March 2017, two years after I left infolio... When working at Infolio, Cameron showed cracks in his behaviour and my colleagues and I often thought he was coming into work high on cocaine. Guess in the end I'm glad I left when I did; before Cameron's and Lauren's (Husband/ Wife business duo) relationship broke up, thus leading into what has happened today.

Glad that justice will serve its course whilst empathetic to all the victims involved, not to say the least; Cameron's three children...

 

There needs to be more regulation of buyers agents...I would also suggest a cap on fee...too many people out there taking the pi $$.

 

There’s a few frauds in Adelaide due to be convicted soon too.

 

I don't think his drug problem had anything to do with his choice of career....
