[VIC] Proprietor's address on the title

    Hi all,

    I change my home address almost every year or so and I have an investment property in Melbourne. Recently I have noticed the proprietor's address of residence in title is still my old address which is not valid anymore. That's like JOHN CITIZEN of 1/23 VICTORIA STREET, MELBOURNE VIC 3000

    Should or can I update my residential address every time I move to a new place and if it's necessary, can I use a PO box for that?

    Does it matter?

    Provided you are registered for land tax, they'll know where you live.

    All settlement was managed by my solicitor a year ago. How do I know i'm registered for land tax?

    All goes to property manager's address. They contacted to council from the first day.

    You register, can't delegate it to anybody else.

    Best keep an up to date address.
    You don’t want to miss an official notice that is sent to the registered land owner.
    Your accountant will advise on the correct procedure to register for land tax.
