Sickening accident. If they were off the road, why did the truck hit them at that speed?

Melbourne police deaths: Alleged speeding Porsche driver bragged about car

Pusey, who runs Switch Now Home Loans, is an avid social media user and often posts about his expensive sports car online.

He was also named as one of the top 100 brokers by Mortgage Profession Australia in 2013.

The 41-year-old has left hundreds of TripAdvisor reviews, including ones where he boasted about "racing" his Porsche.

Apparently the truck driver had a medical episode and is currently in hospital waiting to be questioned once deemed fit.

    This guy is absolute scum.....

The court today heard the mortgage broker from Fitzroy was recorded on the bodycam of a dying Leading Senior Constable Lynette Taylor.

He allegedly told her: “There you go. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. All I wanted to do was go home and have my sushi. Now you’ve f****ed my f***ing car.”

AAP reports Constable Taylor could be heard groaning for help.

He's also turned up to hand himself this morning and given police a different phone, and has wiped his history on his main phone.

Edit: I googled Richard pusey on propertychat, no hits thankfully

If he assisted the police and stay on the scene he would have almost no publicity.

    agree,
and if the truck driver was speaking to police, then everyone would be focussing on him instead

Assuming this person is found guilty of these heinous accusations, it should be considered by the Victorian govt that an "Exemplary Charge" of a charge of "State Sanctioned ********" be imposed.

Such a charge would impose the removal of any criminal, not civil (but due weight should be considered), legal defenses of any kind in the state of Victoria.

Yep, it's the harshest of penalties, no doubt.

But also a direct instruction of the way forward, and in just two words.

I’m never the first to attack, but this guy suffers from mental health issues and after the accident the first person he phoned was his doctor, then his wife. The truck driver was found to have meth and marijuana in his cabin according to some reports.
I say too much emphasis on a sick man in every sense of the word and not enough on the man that most likely is at fault.

Well, driving is a privilege and not a right.
If he has a mental illness thats going to result in him speeding while high on ice and cannabis, his license should be permanently cancelled

If the reports are correct I think license cancellation is not sufficient.....negligent driving causing death (x4) and big jail time would be more suitable, IMHO.
