What a waste. Didn't seem like someone from PC. We have much more sensible brokers here.

Porsche driver identified as mortgage broker
The driver of a Porsche who allegedly fled the scene of a truck crash that left four Victorian Police officers dead has been identified as a 41-year-old mortgage broker.

The man, who is known to police, was identified as mortgage broker Richard Pusey. He was being interviewed by homicide detectives on Thursday.

Leading Senior Constable Lynette Taylor, Constable Glen Humphris, Senior Constable Kevin King and Constable Josh Prestney have been named as the police officers who lost their lives after they pulled over Mr Pusey who had allegedly tested positive to a roadside drug test.

Mr Pusey ran from the scene and it's alleged he took photos of the crash and shared them on social media.

The police investigation into the exact cause of the collision remains ongoing and a coronial investigation into the fatal incident will start.

Coroner Darren Bracken will run the investigation and has told Victoria Police to compile a coronial brief of evidence.

The arrested man was behind the wheel of a Porsche pulled over by officers for speeding at 140km/h on the Eastern Freeway on Wednesday evenin

The porsche driver is not alleged to have been the cause of the fatalities. A truck driver was cause of that. His actions of seeming to leave the scene etc are not those you would expect of a person of good charetcter and repute. He will now be judged for his choices to place motorists and law enforcement employees at risk through driving offences that may have been quite minor until he left the scene. Jailing someone based on the police fatalities seems a big leap. Causation - No.

If it wasn't for him fleeing the scene and then sharing photos on social media then he would barely be a part of the media story and his name wouldn't even be in the news. What an a-hole.

According to The Australian prior to this incident he was on bail for unlawful assault and theft charges. He also allegedly had a summons to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court to face a charge of criminal damage.

That's just so tragic. One of those officers had only been working for eight days.

Idiot driving a Porsche on drugs, then takes a few photos of the accident, publishes them on social media and leaves the scene. I can't see what his day job has to do with anything other than he's unlikely to ever work in the finance industry again.

The truck driver approached at 100 kph (doesn't the law say somewhere that you have to slow considerably when passing a police car in this manner). He somehow crossed into the stopping lane, killing the four officers.

Funny how the headlines seem to focus on the sensationalist part of the storey, not on the actual cause of the deaths.

According to the media, the truck driver’s home was searched after the accident.

I spoiled myself in 2016 years ago and bought a new Mazda. First new car I've ever owned.
