Today I received our annual valuation notice from the Department of Natural Resources and Mines for a Brisbane investment property. It was $25k higher than the one done in 2014.

Does this mean anything or is it simply for the council to increase our rates?

Assuming it is no real indication of price increase as I'm doubting there has been any sales data used in the val, probably just some guy behind a desk pushing buttons.

This is the third thread on the same topic, and we discussed it last year (I remember posting the same question).

    Just saying :)
