The BAs I know tend to charge about $10k - $12k, but I do know some who charge more or less than this depending on a number of factors. The difference of a few thousand dollars is fairly inconsequential compared to the overall result however. Most BAs will structure their payment over several instalments. Probably an engagement fee, a fee when the purchase is made and the final payment when the property settles. Do a search on BAs on the forum. Requests for recommendations come up very, very regularly. If you can be a little more specific (East, West or North in the relevant city), you'll get more specific recommendations and this is something where you should get a recommendation that is specific to the location you want to buy in.
