Thought I would post up some useful resources that could be helpful for landowners in NSW. The first is a Beta State Government website - https://maps.planningportal.nsw.gov.au/ If the Local Government Area has adopted the Standard Instrument Local Environmental Plan all that maps should be available to you. All you need to do is type in the address and you should get the zone, the FSR, minimum lot size, heritage, bushfire and the like. Six Maps is a good resource for more up to date aerials and also basic topographic information. You can also measure lot boundaries and dimensions on here. https://maps.six.nsw.gov.au/ For more detailed information including definitions and the like then the NSW legislation website is far, far, far better than Austlii. Austlii is good but it is not an official website and may not show the latest changes. Once it is in the NSW government gazette then it is published on the NSW legislation website. For Local Environmental Plans you need to click on the right starting letter under EPI (E.g. for Blacktown click B). http://legislation.nsw.gov.au/maintop/scanact/inforce/NONE/0 A guide to the development assessment system from NSW Planning http://www.planning.nsw.gov.au/en/A...lopment-Assessment/Systems/Exempt-Development And Planning Hub, as already mentioned by another poster http://hub.planning.nsw.gov.au/PlanningTools.aspx
I have been using six maps more and more since nearmap have been so ruthless on their data each month.
