    Anyone watching the world series?
I'm thinking about paying the US$9.99 for post season games and watching the condensed versions.. problem is I can't see you could log in and start the game without seeing the score?

Nope - but NBA starts again today :)

Forget Christmas, birthdays, public holidays....this is the best day of the year.

Did anyone watch "Catching Hell" on ESPN on the weekend ?

Mainly about the 2003 Chigaco Cubs but also covered the 1986 Boston Red Sox.

Great stories and a great show.

I've seen the Chiefs play at Arrowhead, the Packers at Lambeau, the Diamondbacks at Chase Field, the Cubs at Wrigley, the Yankees at YS, the Suns at US Postal, Lebron play for the Heat at AAA and the Blackhawks in the playoffs at United Center..

But the most crazy, insane atmosphere I have experienced in the states was NASCAR at the Aaron's 499 at Talladega Speedway. The infield parties are the stuff of legend.

Was lucky enough to spend some time in the US as a teen, back in the early-mid 90s..

    1) Madison Square Garden and the Knicks - Ewing, Starks, Oakley, a real home court advantage, they played real ugly, but the crowds were awesome. Shame I was an Orlando fan, Shaq and Penny were the young upstarts then going up against Jordan, Ewing, Hakeem etc

    2) Soldier Field, Chicago, just an amazing open air stadium during winter. Amazing history and you'll freeze your nuts off.

    3) Was lucky enough to go to a Michigan State college game once, this place has a 110,000 seat capacity in the 90s (not sure anymore), being in the crowd sent the biggest shiver up my spine. I cannot describe the feeling of being in the crowd. No photo does it justice.

Yep watching it all on my iPad when I should be working. Using the Foxtel app.

Game 1 was intense but the Mets pitching just doesn't seem to be holding up. I've got a few mates in NY going to the next 2 games and I'm very jealous.

image.jpeg Lots of great photos of great stadiums. Here is a bad one. Recently Went to an Islanders game at their new home in Brooklyns Barclays Centre. This place is a great stadium but it was built for Basketball. The floor area is too small for Hockey yet they squeeze it in with one end hard up against the wall.

This photo is second row at the corner, what should be a good seat. But because of this setup you lose a whole corner of the ice. Some seats you can't even see the goal! Such a shame. Although Nassau was pretty decrepit, it was awesome.

Don't have photos but went to see the Canucks at Pacific Coliseum once. Facilities weren't that great, but listening to everyone sing the Canadian Anthem before face off was pretty special.

180000 rednecks. Me included. I've never been in a crowd like it before it or since.

    Seats were awesome

Yankee Stadium. We sat in the nosebleeds with an old guy who had his own handwritten stats on every Yankees game since 1978. His Grandfather was a sweeper for the Yankees stadium staff.

I recommend the Canon 100-400 f5.6 zoom lens

    pic5.jpg
This was a run of the mill Saturday afternoon game against Denver in Phoenix. The crowd was nuts

    pic6.jpg
Hairy and Hairyson. The Americans really know how to keep a crowd engaged.

I have some other somewhere I'll see if I can dig up

I think I'm going to the Golden State Warriors home game in 23 Dec. Heard it's doing very well so far. I stopped following NBA after Jordan.

Yeah - those Warriors aren't doing too bad at all ;) Could possibly be the best team in this history of the sport if they continue playing the way they are.

They've just set a record for most wins to start a regular season - they haven't lost a game in a loooooong time.

They've also got a wizard on their team - Chef Curry. Here's a glimpse of what this dude can do

    Cheers

    Jamie
