Trends move in cycles and I guarantee in 10/15 years time, I'll be painting it cream again (or mission brown)...with some faux timber paneling on the walls to complete the look lol.

I've always hated it - I thought they painted it the wrong colour, but the tin definitely said whisper white. and it's too big of an area to be a mis-tint.

I can see the problem. Somebody whispered "cream" and they heard "white".

The small amount of black added really helps tone down that stark white, when I used to work in the industry would always ask twice, are you sure you want vivid white

The amount of black in Lexicon Quarter is usually sufficient to remove the stark in your face bright white look of vivid white, its my absolute minimum tint when using "white"

It might be ok. I have done one place successfully with it - these are dusk shots so it's not a true true representation of the colour. I liked it but it's not my go-to colour

I will when done but based upon what you said, you'll probably have to turn the brightness of your PC down.

It's not too late to use some mission brown (or add some black to the final coat) :p

The trims are also Vivid White on that project. I did that one to see what all the fuss was about for the colour. I liked it but not more than my usual Lexicon 1/4 so I probably won't use it again because of it's coverage problems (and painters hating it - never **** off your favourite painter!)

The trim seems whiter but it could just be the way the shadows are at the moment. Definitely an improvement over the old cream.

Yeah I was expecting the walls to be whiter. Painter said he hit it with 3 coats (and charged me for the privilege)...maybe its a bit of bleed through or maybe its just reflections of the exterior, which is Hogs Bristle or some beige/cream variant.

I'll inspect in person on weekend. Photos were taken by agent.

    Just finished the hall way
    Lexicon qrt,
antique white USA gloss for trims (many may prefer more white.

We used Lexicon half for another room and it was slightly blue haze as Lacrim mentioned. Stick to qrt

I think I will use this combination for my development.

@Lacrim from your photo that does not look too bright.
