(Urgent) Do we need restump?

    Hi Tony, if we do this:

    An hours work for any handyman. Approx $80-$100. Undo those bolts and add a few washers on the inside of the bracket. Use a spirit level when you re-assemble to make sure it is plumb.

    Will this be able rectify this "potential" problem? We want to rectify it just for a peace of mind / as preventive measure. Many many thanks for your thought

    It looks to be only cosmetic, but I'd be asking why it has been done like that. House might have had an extension done where the new concrete was laid ? It would make me wonder what the quality of the other work done was like.

    So you want the handyman to make some minor adjustments to these poles which presumably are holding up the roof to your patio there? Just a few mm?
    I wonder if the holes were drilled in straight to start with. That won't be an hour's work to rectify.
    I wouldn't touch it in the absence of having identified any actual structural problem, you might cause a new problem.
