    I would have still accepted with an increased rent. End of the lease, you get your house cleaned anyway.

    I have a python also, I don't sleep with it but best pet ever, does not need attention or walks or baths, we feed it once a month. I love it. They do not damage properties in rentals either.

    Do check that it only needs feeding once a month. A friend has a pet snake, and someone else I know who works in the veterinarian industry says it upsets her that he doesn't understand the needs of his pet. She says it needs more regular feeding than he gives it and a larger cage.

    I can believe this. My dog does the same thing, and I think many animals would be just the same.
