Just when you think you've seen it all.

I was talking with some potential new tenants today at an open inspection, they asked me if the house was definitely pet friendly - yes it is.

They have a horse and not just any horse, a house trained one that comes inside and sleeps on the lounge room floor. As much as I'm intrigued about a house trained horse I don't think we will be accepting this one.

    Sharing just for a laugh.

    see ya.

I'm glad at least they try. Many pets are abandoned when owner can't find pet friendly house.... A horse friendly house sounds quite difficult though!

Surely they were just horsing around :)

Was looking at a place a few months ago, they had a pony in the back yard (on title actually specified no horses mind you) and it stunk & could be smelt a long way off as I am sure the ground was urine soaked.

I think the pony/horse is likely smarter than the owners in both cases.

Might be a midget horse no bigger than a household dog?

Yes, old joke but after you said "no" you could have asked "what's with the long face?" :D

A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And no one can talk to a horse of course
That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mr. Ed.

    Otherwise - declined lol:D:D:p

If the horse was house trained, did you ask if it could vacuum and answer the phone?

I recently read a story, hopefully it's a work of fiction...

A young lady has a snake as a pet (as some people do). Some people have dogs or cats, but she loves her snake.

Like some people, she likes to sleep with her pet. Okay, let's just accept that she's a bit weird, but each to their own.

Apparently the snake starts to appear sick. It's not eating it's regular meals, loosing weight. Concerned she takes it to the vet who examines the snake and can't find anything in particular. She mentions sleeping with the snake.

The vet becomes alarmed and advises her to stop the habit. Apparently the snake is preparing itself for an exceptionally large meal...

I've told this story before, but it is funny. A lady I've known for over 20 years whose sons went through kindy, primary and secondary school with ours moved from suburbia to a large block. I went to collect my son for the first time since they moved and they had a large black pet pig in the "yard".

They got it when it was the size of a small dog and it used to go through the doggy door in the screen door until it got too big and finally just burst through the door when it couldn't fit through the doggy door. They then just left it open to allow it in. It was outside when I visited though.

She told me about a recent night when she was heading to bed, went into the big media room to find said pig asleep on the couch. She didn't have the heart to wake it and put it outside so put a blanket on it and went upstairs to bed.

She woke up some time through the night when piggy woke up, wandered up the stairs and was nuzzling her with his wet piggy snout so she would wake up and let him out.

    True story. Funny lady.
