I attended many of his seminars, put some money into one of his managed funds (which somehow he managed to lose some of it), ...

I never quite bought into the whole LOE strategy, thank God.

I know a few paid off investors who are now living the dream rather than dreaming the life.

Agree. There are lots of things I won't have and lots of things I won't to. But I'm a bit busy to really think about it. I prefer to put my mental and physical energy into what I can have and what I can do. Working full time, a major renovation and a new house build is probably a bit more than I can manage right now. Not much spare capacity to dwell on what I can't do ;)

BV, I suppose it depends on what the parents are reading to them, and the victim mentality group you mention should play fair and provide a breakup for their readers.

After all, too much reading of @Player 's dukkha sprinkles recipes might lead to the kids becoming celebrity chefs who don't quite understand how payrolls work for their employees (and maybe or maybe not themselves...), but repetition reading of The Superinvestors of Graham-and-Doddsville - Wikipedia

might create the next the next billionaire...

If the parents dont read to them, because they are spending too much time on social media attempting to increase their Likes count and sharing motherhood statements, and other such constructive pursuits, then the lack of advantage can hardly be labelled "unfair".

Obviously, if the parents are illiterate, and can't read to them, then some safety net should be in place.

    Or not. I don't know.

    This I'd correct.
There is nothing unfair about those advantages...it's all legal.
They capitalise on it..great...why would one not do that..Again not unfair to do so...wise I'd say.

I think they call it "privilege" these days, i guess it's to try and make people feel guilty.
White privilege, gender privilege, christian privilege, heterosexual privilege....

I find this particularly painful. Several of my young friends are property-rich (thanks to their parents); some are raised properly (taught everything about managing/maintaining, all the processes especially the hands-on stuff) but others just take it as a gift and kick back, enjoying life on easy street. Spoiling kids is about wealth education, not just the wealth itself.

I believe privilege commonly exists in a more innocent form.
