It's always unfair to those who can't make anything happen ;)

I saw an article on the teev the other night where some victim mentality group have decided that kids who have parents who read to them every night, have an "unfair advantage" over kids whose parents dont read to them.....o_O

Every single person has unfair advantages, it's just that many people waste them by not capitalising on them. Amazing gifts but can't be bothered to learn more about them or practice them.

We all have the seeds, but it's up to us if we give them the water to grow.

Those who are the most suitable for leadership usually don't want leadership position

I'd prefer to be living off rent from some high yielding CIP, leave the CG for those with time on their hands.

Being raised with good manners is definitely an unfair advantage these days. I have been on interview panels and the candidates who are polite really stand out.

Scott I don't even think it could possibly work, how would you continue accessing equity from banks when you can not service debt??? I think when investors were talking LOE it was years ago when lo doc and no doc were in place and servicing debt was not the issue, bank finance was a walk in the park, not any more.

I do get jealous of people with the Midas touch, where everything they touch seem to turn to gold and everything seems to fall into place. I have a couple of friends who are like that and really happy for them as they are great people but guess you make your own luck and we don't know the work that's being done in the background. I do feel bad for people with the worse luck with everything that they touch seems to end up with the worse possible scenario.

I've read that rubbish book called "The Secret" which seems to be a plagiarism of other good books and using so called 'experts' to give it some credibility.

I think that, a lot of the time, it's not necessarily 'unfair advantage', but a case of seeing other people who appear to 'get lucky' when we think that they don't need/deserve it. Eg. The person who already has a fair amount of money ends up winning lotto, or the person who doesn't appear to work as hard as you do gets a promotion/pay rise etc.

I worked out a long time ago that (a) life isn't fair, and expecting it to be really only sets you up for disappointment, (b) bad things can happen to good people, while good things can happen to bad people - that's just life, too, (c) everything does not 'happen for a reason', and (d) hard work does not always pay off.

While I don't believe in reincarnation, I usually now just say "maybe, in my next life......" as a way of accepting that I'm not going to get what I want or think I deserve during this life. I'm not one of 'the lucky ones', but dont expect to be (mind you, whenever I buy a lotto ticket, I've already spent the winnings before the draw even happens :D)

    Life is what it is.........
