Hi everyone. I just purchased a 1950s California bungalow relatively close to the beach. Solid Brick. Single Garage to the side but room for double. We are thinking about extending to the side of the house and putting on ensuite for both bedroom on that side of the house. This would Require us to go underground with the garage. The driveway is longish but slope would be reasonably steep. Soil is sandy. Does anyone know how much it costs to build a sub terraninian garage and can it be done beside existing house. Would be building on top of garage but would give us all the space we need to open up and modernise an old cal bung. The alternative is going up and out further on the back. Above ground extension I am ok with atm just need some advice with the garage. Any recommendations for builders Cheers Smokey
