Apologies in advance to those above the noted age but I assure you there is no intent for insult. :D

Expressions of interest wanted from young and upcoming investors who would be interested in a meet up to chat with likeminded individuals. Having a strong passion for property is difficult when none of your friends have any interest whatsoever, surely im not the only one! It is especially hard when many other investors are middle aged, established career paths, PPOR all paid off, have children etc etc and overall at a different stage in life.

If you are under 30, have a passion for property, enjoy a nice dinner and/or drink and enjoy a chat then let's get a group together and share ideas.

At the moment I don't have a venue or date in mind but would love to get a group together at some point.

    Cheers!

The under 30 event, where property catchups meet online dating. ;)

I do agree with pinkboy though. I might not be an under 30 property investor any more, but I have been in the past.

I wrote a big post about it being a hook up, but deleted it because I couldn't be bothered having the ******** that people go on with afterwards .

Let's scrap the 'actual age' and change that to 'If you feel under 30's meetup' :D

But in all honesty age really is no boundary as we know. I guess the main aim of the post was to create a meetup for the potential younger investors so they do not feel daunted by the more expeireneced others for the fear of not being taken seriously. Something I have felt in the past when attending numerous seminars and speaking with agents etc.

I think this is all in your own mind. Most of the Sydney meet-ups are full of young investors. It's great! I don't think anyone has an issue with it. After all, age is just a number, and there are a lot of older people out there that don't have any investments at all.

Quite possible that it is just in my own mind. I guess it's just a confidence thing. Now it doesn't concern me but when I was 19-22ish trying to learn, going to opens, speaking to agents, few seminars etc I found it fairly daunting and didn't feel confident enough to ask the right questions.

That was my only reason for the post, to open the doors to the younger, possibly 'less confident' individuals with the option to meet with others they may connect with easier. Otherwise obviously agree, age is just a number and im always happy to talk property with any age group!

Good idea, at 27 I'd be up for it. Up for any meetup really, but last one was in Doncaster and I live in Geelong. Can we make it CBD, Docklands inner city somewhere?

I guess thirty-twelve is too old?

Looking at my client base, there's quite a few who will become very successful investors given time, but only a handful who actually realised that success are under the age of 30. Unless you're looking for dates, I think imposing age limits will mean you limit the pool of experience quite dramatically.

Don't be - all the best stuff happens in your 30's :)

Edit - the best stuff so far, anyways - I'm still in my 30's.
