Unconditional contract and withdrawing offer

    Hi, looking to put in an unconditional offer on a property. As its competing contracts, can i withdraw my offer without penalty if it hasn't been signed/accepted by the seller (like seller procrastinates, waits for other offers etc), or do you write this as a condition of the contract, that offer only valid until date/time.

    I always put a expiry date/time in the contract when buying.

    For example, if I am signing a contract on a Monday, I insert an expiry clause of something like the Thursday 5pm, giving the sellers 3 days to countersign .

    Thanks for the replies.

    The property I'm looking at has a body corp. Does the disclosure statement attached to contract have to be within a certain date of the contract to be valid? The property I'm looking has a disclosure statement dated June 2020
