Love the article by Shane Oliver on "Five Ways to turn down the noise and stay focussed as an investor". Particularly the bit about "the endless stream of worries."

"Here’s a partial list since 1900: 1906 San Francisco earthquake; 1907 US financial panic; WWI; 1918 Spanish flu pandemic (up to 50 million killed); The Great Depression; WW2; Korean War; 1957 flu pandemic; 1960 credit crunch; Cuban missile crisis; Vietnam War; 1968 flu pandemic; 1973 OPEC oil embargo; Watergate; the cancellation of The Brady Bunch; stagflation in the 1970s; the 1979 oil crisis; Latin American debt crisis; Chernobyl disaster; 1987 crash; First Gulf War; Japanese bubble economy collapse; US Savings & Loan crisis; Asian crisis; Tech wreck; 9/11 terrorist attacks; Second Gulf War; the GFC; the Eurozone public debt crisis; US trade wars; President Trump; & the coronavirus pandemic."

But I couldn't see on the graph, the big investing concern arising from "The cancellation of The Brady Bunch"?

16 labels on that graph and I have invested through 8 of them! Not sure how I feel about that :)

Despite not having read the article, I feel he's overdoing it.

    There is a simpler way.

Way more importantly was the traumatising dark days of the CUB strike . The only beer pub the could get was fourex. Beer Beer every-where but not a drop to drink.

    WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTT??????

It was the cause of the OPEC crisis. Everyone stayed home to watch it and OIL sales plummeted causing them to try and fix prices higher.
Then the graph clearly shows how fast it when up after the Brady Bunch filmed it's last episode. o_O

The Brady Bunch is an American sitcom created by Sherwood Schwartz that aired from September 26, 1969, to March 8, 1974
