Turning around nanocaps

    I am trying to understand more about the 'grey area' of nanocap investing on the ASX & don't know where to start.

    Not so much buying nanocaps in the hope the share price will rise - but more that 'grey area' of people/SMSFs who are listed in the 'Top 20 Shareholders' in tiny Australian companies.

    Are there really people who make their wealth by buying controlling stakes in failing nanocaps then getting a seat on the board & turning things around? How do they get started?

    Not sure if you can help, but any info/direction would be great.

    Wouldnt the logical reason be that those major shareholders are the founders?
