If Abbott wins tonight, I think Labor will have a grin like a Cheshire Cat. I think that'll be the last picket in the fence of the Libs spending a fair time in opposition rebuilding...

Unless Shorten f**ks it all up. Which I wouldn't be giving very long odds on.

Good heavens what an amazing insight about a politician. Are we both talking about politics?

True, but like Rudd, he is one willing to tear down a sitting PM and a government just to get his way. Not many truly that psychopathic.

    Errr. Right.

I thought the liberal party was supposed to be a broad church.

A sitting PM who has steadily been losing support for some time. Just like when Julia was deputy, the polls are getting people rattled.

I've always voted Liberal and so has my mate. I will most likely vote Liberal at the next election but my mate reckons he will vote invalid. I would consider Lib Dems depending on the candidate and where they direct their preferences. I can't stand MT but the rest are worse IMO.

Irrelevant. You want a new leader, call an election. It may not be technically true that people vote for the PM but it generally ****** the electorate off when the choice is taken away from them. Labor paid that price, Liberals will too it seems.

Yeah, I'm worried that is exactly what will happen.

I reckon Lib Dems have a real opportunity at the next election. If they run a lot of candidates, they could wind up holding the balance of power. They could pick up a lot of votes from disillusioned Lib/Nat voters.

First term MPs are concerned about their seat first and if that means changing allegiances thats what will happen.
