Not sure on the way this cyclone will track..But from boom radar updates this cyclone will hit QLD.. 100 x 200 millimetres per day from this weekend ..Bit late to get insurance ,but it would pay to check your insurance policy, and make sure your gutters are clean..imho..
I'm just trying to find out more and saw your post....... Just so you know, Qld is quite a large state.....
I know, and the 128 km Brisbane /mt stapylton/radar loop has just gone into service to prepare for this cyclone and will not come back into service late Friday..They say from the township of 1770 into Ntn NSW 48 hours you will know the cross area ..imho..
I use the Marburg radar when Mt Stapylton is down. Looks like we might get some rain in Brisbane for the weekend but depends on how Oma tracks over the next two days. Satellite Viewer Tropical Cyclone Forecast Track Map Page (1)
Worst is expected around Ballina/Gold Coast. I'm hoping we get a whipping from the tail - so dry - would love 50-100mm
I think QLD was very lucky if it would have tracked into nth qld where the floods have been it may have finished a few insurance companies ,and wiped out vast area's for a long time..
