I stayed at a (fancy)hotel a few weeks ago and my bed was triple sheeted

What would you think if you showed up to an airbnb and it was triple sheeted? I can only imagine it makes washing and changeover so much easier !

I expected to see yet another headline "Triple sheeting at a US School".

I can't really see an advantage. More work, more washing, marginal cosmetic improvement.

Almost all hotels I stay in do it so it must be faster and easier

As some one who has worked for a major chain, this is not easier, faster, or cheaper. It is a relatively low cost way to provide a luxury experience though.

I don't think it is more work or washing though- it seems much easier than putting on a doona cover which always takes forever. We wash our doona covers after each guest so if we could replace this step, it would save us heaps of time.

I can’t believe anyone needs a video to know how to do this. A better description would be ‘use a top sheet as a bedspread’ or ‘use two sheets instead of a duvet cover’. No need for a video.

    Luxurious? Hardly. It’s just sheets!

Hotels wash all the sheets, dry and iron them, even with triple sheeting.

Easier from an inventory point of view to buy more white sheets and easily coordinated versus doonas.

I like it myself. So much that I think I will start doing this with our bedding at home. SO much easier and cleaner.

Yes I would wash, dry and iron them all- but putting the actual making of the bed with triple sheeting to me appears easier than making a bed (including putting on a doona cover) with a traditional doona.

Looks minimalist and thats not in a good way. Differentiate by making the bed look bland. If that bed isnt comfy I will give you one star for being a tosser.

Add stemless wine glasses and one of those "sanitised for your protection" tags on the loo. And its an extra $20 a night. I dont care if its easier. Its easier for me to give a bad review.
