Just curious how often do you travel/holiday overseas each year?

We plan a trip once or twice pa, but some 20 years ago it was very rare for us as it was extremely expensive.

How times have changed, however today there is more concern about the destination and our safety

Try for at least twice a year - sometimes less if a longer holiday is taken.
Would love more - but hey dreams are free :)

Very few international trips, want to get closer to goals first.
    Several domestic trips though.

I aim for one international every two years and I between lots of short getaways domestically.

It is too hard for hubby to get away for too long :( the joys of being self employment.

Overseas for me means Cyprus and family. Once every 3-5 years only as a trip is usually longer than a month and lots of organisation.
No accomodation, travel or food costs once we are there however, it's just the cost of time!!

Holidays - every year - just as expensive for us as overseas as motels, restaurants, entertainment really ads up.

As adult, once a year approx. sometimes once every two years.

I'm a lucky kid though, family travel overseas pretty much every year when I was small. Visited Europe when I was 13 I think (though I can only appreciate the food and very tall people back then - couldn't speak English)

Aim is to do a 4 week overseas trip each year together with 1-2 weeks of local travel. Having long service helps.

Have worked overseas for 15 years of a 20 year career and my main 'hobby' has been mountaineering..which is purely an overseas activity. I guess we go overseas at least twice a year and my little man of 8 months has already been to 3 continents, 8 countries and 3 Aussie states.

I regret not doing more international travel when I was younger. So many interesting places to see and cultures to experience.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I never want to go OS, there's some amazing places outside of Australia that I want to see before I kick the bucket but it's not high on my priority list. Many other things I'd prefer to spend my time and money on.

I have traveled my entire life and have never once thought about the safety aspect of where I was traveling to. Most recently was the volcano in Lombok, I think that only if they warned you at the airport or booking a tickets you would consider not going

Usually aim for two o/s trips per annum and lots of domestic trips throughout the year.

I'm off to the states for a two week trip in March, China in Oct and possibly Rarotonga over Xmas/New Years.

I can always justify spending money on travel. It's always been a big part of our lives.

    Cheers
