Haha a LOT of Japan lovers on here, me included. There are just some countries you want to do over and over again without losing the novelty factor....Japan and Canada are the ones where I would like to do on a regular basis (say every 5 years or so).

Japan was my first real trip solo (well, with my wife) - I lived a pretty sheltered life before that and learnt a hell of a lot just in the 3 weeks I toured Japan.

There is just something mystical about Japan and how it sort of interwines or juxtaposes polar opposites. I've done Tokyo, Osaka, Nara, Okinawa. Hokkaido is on my hit list and definitely more of the country side hikes.

I was considering booking a flight to UK for 2022. However will there be ‘bubbles’ to consider - direct from Perth or via Singapore? Do I take a punt on Dubai?

I'd be happy to get to Sydney at the moment. Missing family and friends. Also having Property Chat meetup withdrawals. LOL

I've got cruise credits that run out May 2022. Looks like it might be NZ. We've been on short trips in our motorhome. Going away for about 10 days next month.

I still have a long travel list so happy to go anywhere that's possible. But getting to Europe would be my priority.

Been keeping an eye on business fares to UK, was going to book tomorrow for 2022. Went up $1000 today after Scomo announcement!

I have to chuckle when ScoMo says "No quarantine required when returning from NZ" ... well ... NZ won't let us in, in the first place, so there's no "coming back"

I booked some overseas accomodation today for July 2022. Fingers crossed it actually happens!

Looks like the opening going to be for all countries ? or not decided yet ?
I'll hang out for the 7 day home quarantine to be dropped, which shouldn't be too much later.

I have to say, hotel quarantine was a great way to get over jet lag. Sleep whenever you like. So I will have no issues with home quarantine (cheaper, and the food will be better). Tough if you have to race back to work and can’t work from home though.

Wasn't too optimistic after all. It's all happening, finally.

I quarantined at Howard springs for 2 weeks - didn’t mind it one bit. I’ve certainly had worse actual holidays…

Yeah, I spoke to a couple of mates who were part of the Olympic team and they said it was okay too.
