    ACCC: "TPG are building a competing wireless network, so merging with Vodafone will lessen competition"

    TPG: "But the govt has banned us from using Huawei equipment, so we can't afford to build our wireless network now"

    ACCC: "Ummm ... you should build a new wireless network because, umm, competition is good - it's in our name afterall!"

    TPG: "Okay then. How about you give us a heap of money to build it then?"

    ACCC: "Wait, what? We can't do that!"

    TPG: "Well go shove it up your nose then - and let us buy Vodafone"

    ACCC: "... but, competition ..."

    TPG: "..."

    Telstra/Optus: "*chortle*"
