    .... Chemicals and diet!

Surely human genes haven't gone to **** so quick, humans have been around a while and it's only the last ~50years (?) these allegy have really arose
..but in saying reporting and and study of these has improved, back in the day the kids may have not survived. Although food allergies would be easy to work out one would think

When was formula milk brought in?

Could be all these food colouring and preservatives found in almost everything these days. It may be slowly destroying our tolerance to certain foods.

Lately I've been trying to eat more greens and less processed food. I sure as hell would hate to suffer some kind of phallic shock.

It was also a backward country with entrenched racism and sexism but at least the fairy bread was cheap

Chemicals/environment and diet would surely have to play some role, in my completely unqualified opinion.

How common are some of these allergies (assuming they aren't undiagnosed) in developing or 3rd world countries?

I did 5 minutes of google research so safe to say I'm now qualified
But a common phrase was "hygene hypothesis"
Hygiene hypothesis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Basically the old "kids need to play in the dirt to build up tolerances". Vaccines are injecting a stand of that "thing" you are to be protected against (eg flu strand) into your body. So kids aren't getting that exposure as they once did. We're to clean

Other thing was the whole reporting side, developed countries have data for everything, plus throw in "parents paranoia" getting diagnosed for everything Is boosting numbers unnecessarily.
Last thing from my extensive studies was vitamin D deficiency is more common and can increase (amplify?) allergies and intolerance. So no more slip, slop, slap! :p

This sounds like a particular kid has a particular problem.

Why be such a jerk? Should the kid stay at home for fear of anaphylaxis? When should a child be responsible enough to administer his/her own epipen? When school starts at 5? Not likely.

    Chill out.

Australia and newzealand have the highest rates of alergy in the world. There is something odd going on here.

my kids dont have alergies and i wish i could use peanut butter to enourage my them to eat veggies. However, i would have to be pretty thick and unimaginative to use that as an excuse to risk some other childs life.

Anaphylaxis is potentially life threatening. Kids get sick from allergies. Its not a choice they make so no point begrudging them their crappy allergy.

The RCH in melbourne is running a study into whether the BCG vaccine reduces allergies. I signed my youngest up and he got the vaccine as a newborn.

BCG is protection against TB, but as a "side effect" reducing allergy risk? Is that what they are looking for?

Yep. It must be something to do with stimulating the immune system.

Im not having anymore babies, but if i was, i would make sure i got plenty of vitamin d/sunlight during pregnancy and ate everything. I would then expose the baby to small amounts of sunshine regularly and introduce a variety of food as tastes between 4-6 months.

Im not medically trained, so in no position to give advice. but this is my hunch based on bits and pieces of research that have been reported.

Off topic, but i think sperm counts are also declining and ASD (austism) is on the rise.

There's definitely something going on in oz.

No but cow genes have gone to***** quickly.
Milk intolerance started in the 70s, when the A2 protein gene became dominate with the introduction of the high producing Holstein cows. It originaly was only in black and white cows.
